The Urban collection was inspired by the endearing details dotting contemporary Cairo walks. Hasaballah was inspired by the popular folklore band that is seen serenading newlyweds while Al-Borg creates a new pattern building on the iconic Zamalek tower. Bukhara is a reinterpretation of old swatches of fabric lying around upholsterers’ workshops, whilst Cairo walls, is a colourful rendering of the highly textural quality of Cairo buildings.  Kasr El-Nil is a playful repeat pattern using the infamous ‘lion’ of Kasr El-Nil bridge. This is a whimsical and fun collection celebrating the designer’s passion for Cairo and all it represents. This collection was created in close collaboration with Yousra Yassin.
